"BHP Billiton is warning of an oil price spike despite an over-supply and plunging prices for the commodity this year.
THERE had been a staggering trend of annual industry discoveries falling to less than half the annual consumption rate of 30 billion barrels, BHP petroleum chief Tim Cutt said at an industry conference.
"Additional supply will be required from new sources around the globe... given that US production will likely peak within the next decade," he said."
