Each to their own opinion but your post seems to validate the exact reasons why you shouldn't jump out of O & G stocks now. Five months ago may have been smart but not now.
Straw hats in winter and all of that. I'm not sure any of us are smart enough to pick the bottom of a market (any market) but a 50% discount is good enough for me on what was never a boom or bubble market.
Holding a stock, especially one with a really good story, is as good as "Buy cheap oil stocks and wait 3 years for them to boom again", which was your suggestion.
