Ran some basic numbers on oil revenue as an example that there is more at play right now than simple market share. If Opec cut their product by about a 1/3 they would still maintain current revenue as if price was $60 and production constant. I doubt if any of the Opec countries want to be like Dubai and run out of oil so pumping it out of the ground for no money is not sustainable for them either no matter what they say. But look at the breakdown in Russia with the suppressed oil price. Maybe this is the new arms race of the 80's when Reagon bankrupted Russia during the cold war. Russia has a very weak economy and maybe they might decide Ukraine isn't worth the effort? Just my 2 cents worth. But something is going on behind the scenes.
