What I like about this SD project is oil has been confirmed by a UK group.
The column is 30 m which is a good size.
The reserve appears to be large - 51 mil barrels.
But best of all there are now so many ways to get oil out of the ground even if the natural flow is not strong. And by the way there are of course onshore oil producers with good flows.
The use of nitrogen in the haudralic fraction processes is relatively new. The US, the inventors of almost everything good, first used it c.1997 and has since been used across the globe. There are some environment issuers with contamination of ground water, but we will be pushing up daisies by then. Nitrogen is the preferred gas.
Also submersible pumps seems to chug out oil at around 500 barrels per day.
Also there is the acid "clean up the natural filter" technique of improving flow.
I back in general buying mode of all things Sidi Dhahar although, i must say, even after any possible positive announcement, the SP may not jump to the heights we all expect for a number of reasons.
Q: Can anyone find a website / article of an non-commercial oil flow test?
ie After the well has been cased and suspended, and then flow rate tested.
