oil yield indian sandalwood trees

the harvest is year 13 and 14
heartwood does not start to develop until year 5
so 8 yr old trees the itc harvested would be immature trees

the question is ..not the yield but why have they harvested from growers now ...my guess is poor survival rates as it was its first project.

you would have to ask a grower in the project what was written reason in the letter from ITC
