re: anyone watching this::::::::::: Longtom is not an exploration well. It is an appraisal well. When BHPP drilled Longtom, they found a large gas column(>100m). At the time, there was no market for additional gas, so it was plugged and abandoned. The question is not whether Longtom will find gas, the question is whether it can be produced at commercial rates.
The 2nd well to be drilled immediately after Longtom is an exploration well where the typical 1 in 3 success rate will apply.
