You only have to go back to 2004 to see that the oil price was about the same as it is today, so even if you adjusted for inflation since 2002 then the oil price has risen higher than the rate of inflation since that time.

Nido's Phillipines project was stated back even before this period, when oil prices were around the $25 bbl mark. I wonder how many investors are not looking at the long term picture and believe that the project will fail because of the huge fall in the oil price from it's historical highs when in fact if we hadn't had the huge price spike in oil Nido would be in exactly the same position that they are now. Except of course, we now have oil and income :).
