thanks guys,
whitecat is correct about the short term price predictions. I am not physcic but I do get a feel for the market by using knowledge of asx news, visual interpretation of data to see patterns and triggers and lots if other indicators. On many occassions markets are over sold and the price drops below where the data shows it should be, this is the buying time, but human nature is such that that's when get ervous and get ready to sell.....eg, a lot of the time when people are selling,I am buying but it takes some knowledge of the actual stock trading history and market sentiment and some guts.
The short term price predictions for example for GDA today, at 20 mi before the open suggest a 5c level in the first half hour but the buy side istoothin in the above 4.7c levels. the sell volume tells me there are 5m more sell shares in the market since the close yesterday but they have moved there sellwiththe momentum to higher price expectations in the 5c to 5.8c levels. I aso see not enough buyers but if the sellers stick t there price the current lack o buyers doesn't mater, as the buyers will increase their bids to meet the market. f some selers comein ad flood the market , the sell levels around 4.5 will become the sale price. Throwi the dow up 146 or so points, the positive info in the posts and about 20 other factors and that'showIcome to my gut feel about what might happen with GDA in the half hour after the open.
BUT, and it's always a BUT, I review the data continually and adjuct my gut feeling every time one of the indicators I watch chanes, so even while I ae been typing this, for example , if another 3m buy comes in the top two levles and the 5c cent volumefor sale dropped, GDA would be a plus halfcent rise around the open. Of course the reverse ca occur and in fat has each day since monday, the traders want to getthere sell order filled ,they take a profit slightly less ,but it'sstila profit, and they exit and the price has dropped as they drop in to ensure they trade out. Then the buyers get an opportuity ad jump in, the buy volume increases and we see the price rise, the strength on the buy side build and the days pattern proceeds.....and all of the time, the keyindicators are changing and I scan the available data and news and make the choices I do.
sorry about the typos but it takes a lot of time to post my coments and I don't have spell check and want to get back to watching the data, so please excuse my typos, I type slower than I process info but too fast with too littletime to go back through every words spelling.....please ask if you can't work out what I am talking about due to the typos....
my suggestion as always is,go back though my posts , go back through and reasearch the company anouncements and try and forcast the timing of anouncements, timing of decsion to drill, test, jv and mine and you'll be more confident with what ever decision you decide to make regarding buying, holding or seling.
ps,the scenarios have improved since Istarted typing this post......every 5 minutes things can change..still needs another 10m volumein the buy side..changes all the time ,GDA is just moving through from kindergarten to pre school this week.......primary school next week ?
cheers fatstocks.
