The cry goes out to ban guns, another to get the loony from owning said gun, but wait, a gun shop in Orlando rang the FBI and told them about this person who wanted to buy flashy rifle and ammo, plus body armour, and yes you got it, the FBI failed to follow up the lead, then a few weeks later a pile of bodies on the dance floor.
Silly yanks you may say, but a similar phone call was made to police about a person of interest called Bryant, who was going to gun shops trying to make a semi auto into full auto. Of course the gun shops are suspicious with this freaky character and passed on information to police. This vital connection of failing to follow up information is not broadcast to save those concerned deserved embarrassment, but has long reaching consequences, hence mass shootings and ruined lives, living and dead.
