The point you make about male shame of being beaten is just another symptom of toxic masculinity.

And men aren't the only ones that keep their abusive relationships a secret.

I dunno why men are getting so defensive and feel like they're being blamed. We're being asked for help, and if we truly respected women as we all claim to do, then we would at least try and do something rather than come up with excuses not to.
