    Starting? Men can be incredibly sensitive about name calling. They will sling insults on a daily basis, but if I say to one he's been a happy clapper about a stock (which he has indeed repeatedly ramped) then I'm the worst person in the world!

    But the issue is bigger than what happens in a mere chatroom and where mob mentalities run rampant.

    It's about assumptions. That women must always be sweeter and agreeable than men.

    In a chatroom? What is the relevance of sex in a chatroom? There is none! But once they discover you're a woman the standard shifts, and nobody is easy going any more.

    Things will go fine if you're cute, keep it light and fluffy and generally are much more agreeable than anyone else. Otherwise you're a [insert relevant insult. I've heard the lot].
