I totally agree with you!
Something happened though, and technology, wealth, the rise of the middle classes and power has shifted those variables. Instead of men resisting those changes, it would be a lot easier for everyone if we could accept it and move on. However, men do not want to share their wealth and power, so it is a struggle for the less privileged. The most marginalised are black, poor women in our society. Guess who suffers the most violence as a result?
