Go up to a group of women and start demanding to them that they won't stab or poison you. When they look at you are are like wtf we had no intention of ever stabbing you or poisoning you or doing anything mean to you then you go back to demanding that they don't stab or poison you. They then tune out because you are being ridiculous and insulting.
Why would it be any different a response from men?
