Olay Eye Wand

License commitment for Eye Wand across a second P&G skincare brand (imminent).

This was one of the huge pieces of news so casually dropped into the recent company presentation. "Huge" because of course we are finally talking about Olay. "Huge" because our two known imminent licenses has now become three.


Here is an introduction to the current Olay products that are candidates for use with the Eye Wand. Each of these products is specifically for the eyes, and each contains niacinamide. They are spread across SIX sub-brands :

So how soon??
Q : When will be be able to walk into our local pharmacy and see an OBJ Eye Wand on the shelves?
A : the license is imminent. What a wonderful word. It can't get much sooner than that. Once that is signed, do we have to wait for product testing? or design?, or consumer testing? Probably not. The wand is already a mature product that has been "tested" on thousands of people across Asia. A change of color, branding, and perhaps remolding the handle and it should be good to go. Taking a stab at it, I would say that 6 months from now to launch the Olay Wand with one or more of the above products (or similar new products) is entirely possible.
