We as a nation need to stop assuming that the government owes us money.
My solution for the old age pension is to have it tallied and totaled. Then upon distribution of inherited assets the government gets repaid first before anyone else. This would ensure that taxpayers are not subsiding other peoples inheritance.
By all means collect a pension if you were incapable for planning for your own retirement, but don't expect your offspring to gain at the taxpayers expense.
