The majority(not all) of old people are right wing and vote LNP. They have benefited with enormous wealth from economic growth but at the expense of destroying the environment and causing climate change. The irony is if you ask any of them, they will all tell you times were better in the olden days. The younger generation are generally left wing and will vote ALP and greens because they realise the world is no better than it used to be. They hear about all this great economic growth but yet they can't buy a house, see massive traffic congestion, unfair working conditions as shift and casual works, unfair conditions as renters. It's no surprise the way the trend is going.
