MAY THE URANIUM BE WITH YOU

A LARGELY unexplored uranium tenement in Western Australia is granted - and by early afternoon today 72.6 million shares in Jervois Mining (JRV) had gone through the market. The uranium frenzy, it can safely be said, continues unabated.

Jervois, which has had little market recognition for its more advanced laterite nickel and scandium objectives, said it had been granted the fourth of five tenement applications in WA. This latest one covers 74.6sq km at Lake Giles, 190km northwest of Kalgoorlie.

The company said the tenement was highly prospective for uranium and was known to contain a north-flowing drainage pattern through Lake Giles into Lake Barlee, the source of the drainage being from uranium-rich granites.

Grab samples of mineralisation downstream from the tenement taken by previous explorers has assayed at up to 0.407 uranium. Jervois rose 0.02c to 0.16c.
