Old Dad had been out bush all of his life, drovin, fencing, clearin scrub, ect, but one day he had to go to Sydney to see a specialist Doctor due to a health concern. Walking out of the Airport he hailed a cab and jumped in. Now the cab was an older style Mercedes with the three pointed star on the bonnet, Old Dad was a curious man and asked the nice driver what the emblem was, being a slow day the driver thought he would have a bit of fun and told him that in the city if a peple crossed the road at the wrong place and didn't use a pedestrian crossing, drivers where allowed to run them down and he used the emblem on the front as his sighter. Old Dad could see the sense in this and nodded his approval. Just at that moment someone started walking across the road, so the old cabbie sped up, looking down his sighter and just at the last moment swerved to miss the pedestrian but heard aloud thud, looking in his mirror he saw the bloke laying out flat on the road. Old Dad piped up in the back seat "mate you might need to get that sight realigned, if I hadn't opened me door you would have missed the drongo"
