    Frog you are talking about 70 yr olds not 170 yr olds. I'm 70 and drive better , safer , more law abiding than ever. I don't drive drunk, drugged, talking on cell phones or have my drivers seat so low I cant see out the window. My last accident was 52 years ago and my last speeding ticket was last year for doing 56 in a 50 k area, where the tolerance is 55k. That's the first ticket in maybe 30 yrs ?, boring eh. In the last 12 months I helped 2 young drivers get their licences by taking them out for lessons and giving them advice on the hidden dangers on our roads. Being a defensive driver is the best driving skill you can have. imo

    In NZ re-testing is required when your 75, 80 and every two years past 80....which is probably fair as not all oldies ? retain the same level of health , skills etc. My Dad lost his @90.
