disco, you dont speak on my behalf, nor the humongous amount of people who truly expressed their frustrations with that site

it was not only about the IE problems for many of us, who were still able to use the site without those constraints

I think I can speak on behalf of many people like myself
we are not old fogies, we have been in business and management long enough to experience the challenges of constantly moving forward with IT developments and increasingly new technology

we have been there and done that, we know the challenges
and the pitfalls that can prevail

take away the main attraction, and one can expect a disaster

many businesses learn the hard way, usually due to the fact that were unaware of what the real attraction was

we are not against progress

we probably dislike being told what we should like

having 'people person' skills is an added bonus, but usually the big missing ingredient in many failures
