I actually stopped spending except for essentials in June 2007, I sensed impending disaster...just a 6th sense,with the havoc that was on the horizons I am still in savings mode, and although I was expecting better results from the US elections, together with our own elections later this year, I am no longer expecting a turnaround, albeit even temporarily now.
Some confidence may return in OZ, just a smidgen, after the fed election, but it will be hard yakka to really turn things around.
A few Asian millionaires will not make any difference, the problems are much greater than this. cheers
