"In addition, Gilead's drug is an oral pill and not an injection like BLT's offer."
Hi curis, an injection takes away the compliance issue and the inconvenience of having to take a pill for 6 weeks. In addition, an injectible will be offered for free (to medicare eligible patients) in the US, whereas Gilead's drug would cost those same patients @ 10% of the cost, or at least $8,400.
The cost of sofosbuvir is $1000 per pill and at this stage must be taken in combination with another drug costing many thousands more.
Benitec would be able to offer TT-034 for a lot less. Who wouldn't prefer it?
