Regarding the home security market, I wonder what percentage of alarms are monitored by a private company. Currently people have the choice between diverting the alarm alert to their mobile or another contact, or they pay $200-$400 per year. With QTK, people will not have the choice - they will have to pay an ongoing monitoring fee.
Also, how many burglars actually use scrambling technology? I would think few to none, so how many people are going to shell out to buy a new alarm, pay ongoing monitoring fees because of a very miniscule risk that they may be burgled by a person with a scrambler. I personally can't see much of a market for this technology in Aust. at all, unless their sales people have a black belt in scaremongering when trying to sell their alarms.
