To be fair, there is no 100% certainty that the oil will be there for Defender and it will be commercial. However, if you would like the opportunity to be rewarded more than putting your money in the bank, then some acceptable risks need to be taken.

For me, after getting the following from the previous announcements about Defender:

"..recording resistivity measurements of 100+ ohms for the majority of hte well.."

"..very brittle carbonate sections that appear to be oil saturated"

I am quietly confident that oil is there and the question is what will be the flow rate!
