Clear plastic bags, washed out and hung on the line {no glad wrap in them days!}.
Going for a Sunday drive in the back of the Vauxhall, all three kids bouncing around in the back seat {no seat belts back then!} The car always smelt of cigarette smoke and petrol fumes and we had to stop after a few miles for at least one of us to get out and vomit.
The sunday roast was always at lunchtime and roast chicken was expensive so it was a treat.
The garbage truck was an open truck with a bar across the middle that the garbo's hung onto while they jumped up and down on the rubbish. Bits of rubbish would drop out along the road.
Sawdust on the floor of the butcher shop.
You could buy 20c worth of hot chips and scallops were 2c each. Tomato sauce on them was free.
