Some of my country childhood memories in early 60's include..

Old red PMG telephone boxes with an A and B button (you could yell into other end without paying for a call)lol.

horsedrawn milk carts and non homogenised full cream milk in bottles.

FX and FJ holdens (folks first car)

small milk bottles delivered to school (even if it did sit in the hot sun all morning)

fixed wheel bikes and Malvern Star dragstars.

Threepence and shillings (especailly in chrissy steam pudding)

3c Icipoles sunnyboys and razz

Legal fireworks with no age or quantity restrictions and bonfire parties at neighbours :)

bakelite radios with maybe 3 am stations only. Don't forget cystal radio sets too.

Watching man land on the moon on state of the art Pye b&w TV.

Crystal clear river systems to swim in.

The list is endless, gotta stop now I'm getting all melancholy. Life seemed so much more simple and uncomplicated way back then.
