    It is an interesting dilemma.

    Driving skills like others have no easy beginning or end.

    We could just licence 35to 45 year olds. They are probably the best drivers.

    As we expand we increase the risk. Death is a part of life and we should accept the risk.

    I don't understand those who say "why" and "unfair".

    There are no guarantees and many of us have done foolish things and survived while others have had tragic outcomes.

    We can "lock" older people in their homes by stopping them driving. Testing is done but will never be perfect. If a younger person had been involved the question would not have been asked, unless they were a "p" plate driver, and then it would have been, "testing is inadequate".

    You be "God", to me it isn't so easy.
