TTY still owns the majority of OLY as far as i remember.A lot happening behind the scenes. OLY, MAL, SRE,MON, TTY> M.K. still pulling the strings. Lets hope it all comes together this time. This is probably also part of the trading halt. Tidying up a lot of loose ends.

    ASX / MEDIA RELEASE 8 JULY 2009
    OLYMPIA BOARD APPOINTMENT
Mineral sands developer Olympia Resources (ASX: OLY) is pleased to announce the appointment of experienced resources executive Bruce Maluish as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
The appointment will add further depth to the Olympia Board, with Mr Maluish bringing more than 25 years experience in the mining industry, including specific expertise in mineral sands.
Mr Maluish has worked on resource projects both in Australia and in Asia, and has been involved in the development, start-up and expansion of mining projects. He has worked at a management level at some of WA’s leading gold projects, involved at both an operations and corporate level, including merger and acquisition activity.
Mr Maluish has specific mineral sands experience as former Managing Director of zircon developer Matilda Minerals, where he led the listing of the Company on the ASX, and the successful start-up of its mineral sands operation within two years from grant of tenements.
Olympia Chairman Mal Randall said the appointment added further strength to the Board, following Olympia’s announcement in May that it had appointed Dr James Searle, and Keith Veluta as directors.
“We welcome Bruce to the Board, and his appointment really adds to the mix of credentials that will drive the development of our expanded minerals sands portfolio. He has specific experience in mineral sands projects we are developing in the Northern Territory and Queensland, and as a previous zircon exporter, has strong marketing links into China,” Mr Randall said.
The Board and management changes follow the recently announced combining of Olympia’s mineral sands projects in WA and NT, together with Stirling Resources’ (ASX: SRE) northern Australian zircon projects. As part of this transaction, Stirling will acquire an 82% interest in Olympia, subject to shareholder approval at a general meeting on 16 July 2009.
