As smelters around the world, the smelters in Sarawak Malaysia are in still in full operation.
All manganese furnaces and converter at Assmang’s Cato Ridge smelter has been closed but the Sakura Ferroalloys smelter in Malaysia, according to ARM, is in full operations.

The price of silico manganese moves up further.
The backwardation continued to widen on the ZCE’s silicomanganese contract. The May contract price rose rmb82 to rmb6,972 per mt based on 187,663 contracts traded while the September contract price rose rmb58 to rmb6,680.
