@trader_10: I think you have misquoted the flow rate from the recent Canyon-1H well. The 1.45 mmscfd relates to anticipated gas flow rate from a future 2000m fracced horizontal section, and there should be nearly 1,000 bopd of oil.
The Canyon-1H horizontal well achieved peak flow rates of 452 BOPD of light 49.5 API oil and 0.6 MMSCFD of gas from a 650m multi-fracced horizontal section in the target Canyon Sandstone reservoir. (Half of the 822m total horizontal section had high gas saturation on the mud log). Over the most stable 24-hour period, sustained flow rates of 321 bopd and 0.472 mmscfd were recorded with a wellhead flowing pressure of approximately 1399 psi while the well was on a 16/64” choke.
It is anticipated that the next development well will have at least 2000m horizontal section containing multiple hydraulic fractures with a completion optimized for the fluid system.
The 24-hour expected flow rate from the next well, which may have a 2000m horizontal section is 987 bopd and 1.45 mmscfd. I assume that OMA has decided that these flow rates will be required to achieve commerciality.
