I agree, I don’t think two weeks would hurt for us to watch and see, but they should be planning for reopening totally. Omicron is less severe than a flu according to to many reports and more like a cold. Living in Brisbane and having kids meant we often had many people getting colds and flu at the same time as the Ekka. We didn’t test people, wear masks, or get hysterical. That is the way it should be.
It will be hard for politicians to back away from the mandates, power, and control. They need to do it, as people are becoming wiser to this change in circumstances.
