And it wouldn't have come to that apart from quarantine bungles early on.

The 2021 lockdowns were dealing with Delta and being highly transmittable we looked to get a high vaccination rate.

Getting over 80% fully vaccinated ran into problems because of disinformation and defiance from a small but noisy minority.

You can't put all the blame on the government or our our scientists as antivax-promotion of conspiracy created confusion and expensive delays in vaccination.

Who has gained from the endless lies and claims posted in social media?

That's where much of the blame rests and minor parties now in the spotlight have much to answer for ling term.
