I find OmniTrader (Im using OT2k) to be a great compliment to Metastock. I don't use it as my technical system, it just gives signals, and you do your own homework.
There are bugs with OT, for instance, updating your focus list would constantly show there were no stock in your data database. But shutting down the program, and starting again usually solved it. And no bug fix was ever forthcoming from Nirvana.
