CFE went ex-capital return/ex-dividend on the 14th Of October.
The price was 45 cents on the 13th. The capital return & dividend works out to 22 cents per share. 16 cents of that is dividend unfranked, so after tax you could say 9-12 cents depending on your tax situation. I'm on 39% tax (NZ - same as you probably) so I worked out the net return to be about 16 cents. 45 cents - 16 cents = 29 cents (share price). The share price is now down to 24 cents. I bought on the ex date at 27 cents. Total cash assets after returns to shareholders are over 40 cents per share. Then there are their iron ore assets on top of that. Check out the annual report. It's well worth a read.
