Last nights 7.30 report was all about the huge resource of natural gas that we have in this country and the way we export to foreign countries in the form of LNG. How we are selling our natural resource too cheaply to Asian countries that are shoring up there energy needs for the future. Once again as oil declines and the price increases it makes common sense to go to the alternative form of energy. In the world today we have 800 million motor vehicles and only 8 million are powered by gas.As I have previously posted if the Rudd govt is serious about climate change then the emphasis has to be towards changing the way we utilise our vast resource of natural gas....Cleaner greener and meaner and a lot cheaper.LNG exports last year returned $4 billion in export dollars yet we imported somewhere in the range of $20 to $25 bill in petroleum products...Go gas ... I rest my case.
