thanks for the insight - greatly appreciated

i now use a volume based approach as a primary tool and becoming more disciplined with regard to tight stops (have tended to become emotionally attached but watching the resultant decline in potential profit is a good remedy) - amazing how clearly you can assess a downtrending stock once you've sold it

i also agree with your pyramiding technique / additional research - i've had some great trades with the likes of nxs nms mpo and aoe from adopting that approach

also thanks to Sandy - i'm relatively inexperienced compared to a lot of HC'ites and appreciate different viewpoints being expressed and the willingness of people to share their ideas (gee, it's almost what you'd call a forum) despite being cut down
