I’m going to speculate here that a new vertical for eml will be the on-demand payroll. Eml have a habit of releasing info on new verticals in their semi annual business updates, so if my timing is right they may have some news next month - they probably won’t and I could be taking smack

for a while now I have been hearing about disruption to the fixed payroll cycle of fortnight or monthly pay. In the current day and considering the gig economy Workers, this fixed method is becoming outdated. I think there is a sector here to disrupt (already happing by other companies) and move the new payment cycles to be instant, and utilising virtual cards.

This podcast talks to which industries are perfect for on demand payment - gig economy working - and what type of person is suited to this - people working a second job that need access to funds instantly

we also know that eml has previously created a solution for InGOGO for a Similar use case.

I don’t think it is to much of a stretch to think that eml can’t use some of their $130+m of cash on R&D for these verticals that need to be tweaked. Direct payments made to digital wallets at end of day would be huge
