Babcock & Brown Ltd. (BNB.AU) is expected to make an announcement later this week on a "revised business plan" that will address the repayment of the new short-term funding facility and form the basis of discussions with its banks to restructure its balance sheet, The Australian Financial Review reported on its Web site Tuesday, without citing sources.

The company is understood to have already given the banks' adviser, McGrath Nicol, a couple of options to look at, the Web site said. The syndicate is also expected to agree to new financial covenants.

The revised business plan is expected to be based on the company's strategic review plan announced in November, the Web site said.
