On-going covid outbreak in V.N

Folks, some of you may have seen me post a heads up re. the new outbreak in V.N - not only is it new per say, it's the first mass outbreak that authorities have been overwhelmed by and unleashed onto a largely un-vaccinated population.
We are just beginning the exponential infection curve, as most other countries did early/mid last year...
Strict lockdowns, transport blocks, labour and supply chain interruptions are happening all over the country with a "heavy handed" implementation.

Previously I stated that I would start a dedicated thread where I can keep you all updated if I was made aware of delays that could affect the project.
Unfortunately today is that day.

- I posted a map for the 16/7 showing cases per locality. The cases in Son La was just 1, total number countrywide was ~42k.
- Today, 1 week later, Son La is now showing 3 cases, with countrywide number now at ~80k - almost double in a single week.
- The north (where we are located) is doing much better than the south... for now.
- As of today - with only 3 cases - as per the local ward of Son La's discretion, all non-essential trucking/transport operations are now halted and roadblocks will be in place for an as yet undisclosed time period.
I'm fairly sure this means core samples are going to be backlogged on site for the time being.
As yet no disruption to labour on site AFAIK. Being a remote, mountainous area, I dare say supplies and deliveries of any kind will be disrupted for site operations.




In summary, just states that heavy transport, cars, taxi etc to stop with no date of resumption.
