Yeah – very well put Bungy, and as some other poster recently alluded to on this thread that just about any stock under a dollar inherently has a large degree of risk. As they say if the kitchen is too hot then perhaps you should get out of it and find something with low risk and very little return….maybe those in this category would be well advised to put their money into a low yielding Commonwealth Bank deposit and forget about the potential of UMC.
There is no doubt in my mind that UMC does have the reserves and grades of iron ore and bauxite of an economic quantity to become a viable producer in the future. Admittedly it does have a long road to travel in order to get all of its ducks aligned. My view is that for those investors willing to invest a little of their time and capital in this company will in the future be justly rewarded.
