Interesting point you make charl.

Im not only talking about STB, but many companies now seem to call trading halts at a drop of a hat.

I think the ASX needs to be more stringent when granting companies the right to go into a trading halt. Over the last 6 months I have seen planty of TH take place for announcements to be released when in fact the company probably should have just announced it on the day and resumed trading after 10 mins.

I wonder how big the news must be to warrant a TH these days???

Funny thing is the news after a TH is announced the morning before market opens and trading resumes, so its not as if the market gets to comprehend the news over a day or 2.

Neede to get that off my chest! hahaha
