Aurifice, Bit before my time. There is a book by Brian Lloyd and Howard Coombes called Gold at Gaffneys Creek with a few photos of Max Sullivan. A good read of the history of A1. I started in 1987 and left in 1990. Broken Hill Holdings was the public company that owned it. Gaffneys Creek Gold Mines was the subsidiary that operated it. Ray Wright was the manager and Chris Burns was the underground foreman. Dennis Clark (who became a director of AYC the precursor to CTL) was a subcontractor who bought some air leggers in. One of the airleggers then was i think called Bub Butler who was still working at the A1 only 6 months ago . I am guessing by your previous posts that you are/were an engineer in the mining game and i would take your advice over Verts anytime.
