At the moment, it looks like Metal Storm is in the lead by just a nose. The punters are still betting and the bookies odds are fluctuating - it's still anybodys guess as to who will pip the post.

Allfup is close behind Metal Storm sniffing at his tail, you can see the lather around his mouth as he strains behind Metal storm. Will he catch up? It's a close race ladies and gentlemen. Many regular punters think Allfup is a shoo in, but Metal Storm still has a loyal and hopeful following and they are cheering him on like crazy.

Whatamess is just behind Allfup. He is very strong, yes ladies and gentlemen, Whatamess is assured of a place in this race. Poorholder is lagging, what a disappointment for those punters who've bet on her. She might just struggle into 3rd place, maybe even 2nd, but sorry to say she seems to be flagging. The question is whether Poorholder has any future after this race if she doens't get a place today.

Yes, there have been allegations that there might be some race fixing here. Metal Storm looked so good but has been continually penalised by adding more and more weight - and there are rumours that he has been mistreated somewhat. Clearly, the stable manager has not been paying close enough attention. However, the race is not lost yet. He has the strength as long as he is looked after and fed properly, but has he got the energy to win this race today?

If Poorholder can just get up into 2nd place ahead of Whatamess and if Metal Storm gains the glory pole position, then her backers will keep her from the knackers yard, let's hope so for the sake of those who've supported her.

Metal Storm, well he'll go on to race another day as he has hidden strengths not recognised by all punters, but if he doesn't win the race today, the owners may be forced to sell him on as he is an expensive beast to keep.
