just been checking my last serious gold venture. it was normandy which i sold out last shares 01/10/01. played short runs with oro and ogd late 06 - early 07 which were both successful trades but now looking at making a serious bet on troubles ahead.
will not hesitate to run away if i'm wrong but the news coming along from just about everywhere is looking very grim. negative equity troubles in uk being released today along with more noises at rbs.
having recently experienced a receivership to my bond/cash fund with one of my brokers i suppose the message is coming home to me. simply PRESERVATION OF CAPITAL.
