Well given that it will take a while to get the infrastructure sorted (~1 year) and all the studies out of the way I think CQT will not mine anything because GF will take them over before they start doing anything. I feel that CQT will not be around come 2009. GF will have drilled approximately 60-70K metres and will have a good idea whats in the ground.
As long as there is uncertainty in the world economy, gold will stay strong. At least for this year.
