Meercat
A very sensible and reasonable summing-up of a relatively new and unfinished technology. thanks for that and thanks for the warning. I, too, have just bought in in order to trade s.t., but got interested; maybe I'll just hold.
A lot of my discussions with friends, here and overseas is about global warming and how mankind will - at the very last minute - scramble to try everything possible to avoid disaster and throw everything at the problem. I believe atomic power will get a look-in, but before that every single alternative possibility will be tried. They are doing this in many European countries now almost as a matter of mainstream philosophy (I don't know much about the U.S., Asia etc.). Many small townships in Europe have solar panels and are grid-independent, (Dyesol could have a look-in there), there are fields of windturbines (ugly things in my view) which are not as good as they are touted to be (costing a fortune in pollution etc. in the production process); heating is produced from the rubbish a city produces etc. etc.
In one word: the level of awareness is there in many large markets for any product touting alternative and clean energy - Australia is lagging behind, but our small population isn't going to make much difference to global changes one way or the other.
I believe there will be a big market for a product like Dyesol and many similar ones.
The word is "I BELIEVE" though and I am fully aware of the implication.
So, thanks for the word of caution, Meercat, and fingers crossed that Dyesol will soon become a household name.
IMO only
cheers
