Been trying to find out what is going on, to no avail. As you say dnatron, the silence is deafening and clearly negotiations with TFS continue apace. Could the delay be caused by the complexity of negotiations surrounding the abandonment of several of the (unwanted by Textron) divisions? I have in mind the really old plants they have been trying to close, particularly in the South. These could be difficult to dispose of cleanly or could entail additional costs in disposing in terms of paying off staff. No doubt lenders will be in the thick of the DD deliberations in ensuring the offer is realistic given ALL the assets and liabilities. Such a large company spread all around the place might be taking a lot longer to check out than we had anticipated/hoped. To have continued this long means either they have it in the bag (if they want it) or else they may still reject it if the price is considered too high. Can't see how we can lose in either scenario.
