copper inventories still going down. For what its worth copper inventories still dropping, down another 650 tonnes on the LME today. Tends to indicate it was the paper traders and speculators that caused the selloff, there was no dumping of hoarded inventories onto the market.

So just a shakeup, prices should be firm for some time to come.

As for the other scare, I hope Bill finally recognises the fact that if they feel the need to evacuate to suspend trading straight away. This is now the second time we've had a panic attack on the back of a minor incident.

It's been one hell of a week but I think the worst is behind us.
