Remember when Poseidon was 12 cents?

It was WMC's discovery of high-grade nickel mineralisation at Red Hill (now Kambalda) in January 1966 that triggered the mighty Poseidon nickel boom.

The boom reached its peak in February 1970, when the previously little-known Poseidon Ltd reached $280 a share on the strength of its Mount Windarra strike, about 300 kilometres to the north-east of Kambalda.
