Above is the initial announcement we punters suspected was made to calm the LNC market as the share price shed 8% on friday.First made by Cabinet Minister for Climate Change Kate Jones. "LNC trial plant at Chincihilla recommended that LNC energy pilot continue as planned and said the company was able to demostrate a signifcant tech capacity"
announced at Middayish.

Then we recieve this announcement from Anna Bligh over the weekend.

Queensland Premier Anna Bligh says the government is not ruling out underground coal gasification (UCG) technology even though it has closed down a trial operation in the state's southeast.

Could this be the conversation that prompted further clarification from the premier.

Well Anna i need you to make a definitive statement re Underground coal gasification.

Anna:Why Peter?
Peter:Premier,it's a pretty big deal for QLD on the table which will result in massive jobs for the state and I don't need any mixed or ambiguous messages here."
Peter: Premier we are in the final stages of the tender process and as you'd understand it's imperative that prespective buyers have positive comfort from the Premiers Office.
Premier:Well Peter, I'd be happy to reindorse the independent, scientific expert panel report into Linc being able to demostrate a significant technical capacity.
Peter: Thanks Premier that I'm sure would remove any further doubt coming from you Premier.

My Questions?

1)Why on earth would we get the premier making a follow up announcement.
2)If the sale was not imminent surely Anna Bligh would not have been called for confirmation.
3)We now get the premier making a positive statement on the public record.
4)For The Premier to make this statement there must be something in the wings for all stakeholders.
5)Why else was this announcement made twice?
